PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To thread a needle in a short period of time by providing a magnetic material in a bobbin case so that, when a bobbin is put into the bobbin case, magnetic force are uniformly applied to one of the flanges of the bobbin about the center axis of the bobbin. SOLUTION: An annular magnet 1, as a magnetic material, is provided at the bottom 60a of a bobbin case 60 so as to surround a hole 60d. A bobbin 70 holding a lower thread T is inserted into the case 60 to cause magnetic force of the annular magnet 1 to nearly uniformly act on a flange 70a of the bobbin 70 about the center axis of the bobbin 70. By this action, the bobbin 70 is prevented from tilting with respect to the bottom 60a of the case 60, and hence a step 70d formed on a flange 70b of the bobbin 70 is fitted in a step (b) of the case 60 to store the bobbin. Thus, threading work can be performed in a short time, resulting in improved work efficiencies.
