PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound capable of obtaining a thermal recording material excellent in image density, image weather resistance, image preservability and image fixing property, and useful as a coupler of a diazo recording material. SOLUTION: A compound of formula I (R1 and R2 are each H, a halogen, an aryl or the like; and R3 and R4 are each H, an alkyl, an aryl or the like). A compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II e.g. 7-(4-chlorophenyl)-8-(2,6-di-t-butyl-4-methyl)cyclohexyloxycarbonyl-2- amino- pyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4-one} at first with chlorosulfonyl isocyanate in a solvent such as acetonitrile preferably at-15 to 25 deg.C, commonly for about 0.5-24 hr, and subsequently with a compound of the formula HN(R3) (R4) (e.g. N,N'- dimethylaminoethylamine) preferably at -25 to 40 deg.C, commonly for 0.5-24 hr. |
