PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a use in tires of a rubber composition equipped with an improved cohesiveness at an elevated temperature and a high resistance to mechanical stress accompanying large deformation. SOLUTION: A composition based on a natural rubber or a synthetic polyisoprene containing a large proportion of cis-1,4 units is used in the shoulder part of a tire as an elastomeric inner filler mixture. Here, a reinforcing filler is (i) carbon black or (ii) a silica and/or alumina type white filler having an SiOH and/or AlOH surface function. The composition comprises a blend wherein the total amount of the white filler selected from the group consisting of sedimented or thermal decomposed silica, alumina or alumosilicate and carbon black modified during or after synthesis, is from 15 to 50 phr, and the amount of the white filler (unit: phr) is 5 units smaller than the amount of carbon black (unit: phr). |
