PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive for making a packaging work of refrigeration or freezing for smoothly and surely transferring squids to a prescribed position without spending any labor while inhibiting adsorption of live squids caught with a squid jigging machine in a squid jigging fishing boat. SOLUTION: This scooping up apparatus for squid has a conveyor belt 5 having scooping up fans 4 at a prescribed interval excepting both side edge parts of a transferring face to upward in a squid gathering tank 2 and especially in upper and lower parts, both of the side edge parts of the transferring face are pressed by pressing rings 9 and shapes of side faces of the conveyor belt 5 are formed about an inverse U shape, then adsorption of the squid transferred by utilizing crumple generated by compression with the transferring face at upper and lower parts of the conveyor belt 5, thus the squid is transferred to the prescribed position with a transferring chute 11 under an upper bent part.
