PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor system that realizes monitor processing of a face picture more efficiently by extracting only a picture required for supervision from a photographed picture. SOLUTION: The system has an image information extract function S5 that receives continuously a plurality of image information sets being monitor objects externally, detects a mobile object in the image information and extracts a plurality of the image information sets including the mobile object. It has also image information selecting functions S6, S7 that properly select and output image information of a prescribed number P from the extracted image information. Thus, only a picture effective to supervision can be selected and outputted.
