PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and weight of a variable beam forming circuit exciting an array antenna for satellite communication. SOLUTION: This system identifying method distributes an input signal to N pieces, measures a first output with respect to the setting state of a first amplitude phase control circuit concerning the first output terminal of the variable beam forming circuit formed of first to N-th amplitude phase control circuits controlling the amplitude and the phase of each signal, successively executes similar measuring to the N-th output terminal, and sets this to be initial measurement. Next, the method randomly gives the setting states of the first to N-th amplitude phase control circuits, and measures the first to N-th outputs of the variable beam forming circuit. Next, the method measures the outputs in a second setting state different from the first one and repeats this for M times. Then, the method forms 'P=GH+B' by setting a measuring result to be P, a result obtained from initial measurement to the setting state to be H, the inference of the output terminal of the variable forming circuit to be G and a stationary inference to be B, and executes arithmetic processing to calculate G, B.
