PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a computer and a connection unit through a commercial power line so that they can communicate each other and to prevent the service interruption of communication owing to a commercial power line load. SOLUTION: Communication circuits 13 for communication through a commercial power line 11 are incorporated in a pair of AC adapters 7 connecting a computer 1 and a printer 2 to the commercial power line 11. In the respective communication circuits 13, control interfaces 19, multicarrier modulators/ demodulators 22, transmitters/receivers 21 and AC couplings 20 are sequentially connected and the AC couplings 20 are connected to the commercial power line 11 or the control interfaces 19 are connected to the computer 1 or the printer 2.
