PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an indirectly cooled type multi-pole electromagnet, and to reduce total cost including the cost of a power source. SOLUTION: This multi-pole electromagnet is composed of a core 20, composed of a ring-shaped yoke 22 and plural poles 24 erected starting from the yoke 22 toward the center, a coil 30 wound around the poles 24, and cooling plates 40 for indirectly cooling the coil 30 by interposing the core 20 wound around the coil 30 from the both faces.
