PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single acting oscillation-type actuator capable of using a cover for closing the open ends of a cylinder for both of left and right open ends, and using the components in common. SOLUTION: In a single acting oscillation-type actuator comprising an actuator body, a spring device 11, a piston pressurizing passage 26 and a spring pressurizing passage 27, both ends of a cylinder 1 have the open ends of the same cross section, the spring device 11 can be attached to both the right and left ends of the cylinder 1 for, changing the rotating direction of an output shaft 3 in reciprocation by the pressurized fluid, and a cover 20 for closing the open ends of the cylinder to obtain the returning operation-type structure for the spring device 11, is formed so that it can be used also for both left and right open ends.
