PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record the contents of proceedings and index information on a same recording medium. SOLUTION: In a storage section 41 of a voice generating section 4, voice data 41a, 41b,... are beforehand stored to generate voices of the names of speakers A, B,.... If a selection is made by an operating section 3 for the data corresponding to a speaker, who is speaking using a microphone 1, among the data 41a, 41b,..., the corresponding voice data are read by a CPU 2. The read data are converted into voice signals having a high pitch, in which the present speaker's name is voiced, mixed with the output signals of the microphone 1 by a mixing device 2 and recorded on a prescribed recording medium by a sound recording device 5. Thus, the uttered voice of the speaker obtained from the microphone 1 and so-called index information, in which the name of the speaker is voiced with a high pitch, are recorded on the medium.
