PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To weaken the correction of hand vibration by limiting hand vibration correcting action when a subject having low contrast is photographed in the case of preventing camera shake or the like in photographing by detecting the features of a subject converted into an electric signal by an image pickup element and changing the response characteristics of a control signal generation means based on the detection result. SOLUTION: An image feature detection means 9 in the image movement correction device detects information related to the contrast of a photographed picture from a picture signal obtained through an A/D conversion means 7 and inputs the detected information to a microcomputer(MC) 15. The MC 15 executes filtering, integration processing, phase compensation, gain adjustment, output signal clipping processing, etc., for an output of an angular velocity sensor 10 which is inputted through an A/D conversion means 14, finds out the driving controlled variable of a lens group L32 necessary for movement correction and sends the controlled variable to an L32 lens group driving control means 2 through a D/A conversion means 16 to correct the movement of an image. |
