MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM, SERVO SIGNAL DEMODULATION METHOD AND MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the detection sensitivity for head positional deviation and to reduce an area occupied by servo burst signals on a magnetic recording medium. SOLUTION: Servo bursts 1A1 and 1A2 are recorded adjacent to each other along a track width direction 12 with a same interval of a track pitch 11. By mutually changing the phases of the bursts 1A1 and 1A2, which are made adjacent to each other along the direction 12, for 180 deg., signals whose amplitudes are varied with a same period of the pitch 11 with respect to the positional deviation in the radial direction of a magnetic head 15 are obtained and a highly precise positioning is conducted.
