DEMULSIFIER FOR SEPARATING COAL TAR AND WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compound capable of efficiently separating oil and water in coal tar. SOLUTION: This compound is a demulsifier capable of separating oil and water in coal tar through demulsification, being such one as to be formulated with a polyether compound with an average molecular weight of 200-600,000 prepared by adding at least one kind of alkylene oxide selected from the group consisting of ethylene oxide, propylene oxide and butylene oxide to a polyalkyleneimine having 7-200 nitrogen atoms.
