PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a danger that a hand is caught by a head guard at the time of opening a battery cover by installing a battery cover having a turning support point near a support in an upper part of a battery mounted on a car body, and forming a curved surface in one side wall surface of the battery case at a position separated from the support. SOLUTION: A head guard 6 is formed of a first and a second supports 6F, 6B stood in both of a front and a rear ends of a car body 2, and a battery cover 8 is installed in a lower end of the second support 6B freely to be tilted. The battery cover 8 covers the whole surface of a battery case 7 housing a battery. The battery cover 8 is formed into a box shape formed high at a front side of the car body and formed low at a rear side of the car body. A curve part 9 having a bow-shaped cross section is formed in the box body at a front side wall 8A of the car body, and a bent part 8B is formed over the whole width of the front side wall 8A of the car body while including the curve part 9. With this structure, even in the case of a compact car body such as a three- wheel type battery type fork lift, a danger that a hand is caught can be prevented.
