PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the positioning and mounting of a bore ring and improve the working property of sealing by fitting a bore ring having an annular pressure receiving part enclosing a cylinder bore and a flange part superposed on a metallic structural plate part to the cylinder bore hole of the metallic structural plate. SOLUTION: A metallic gasket 10 for sealing the cylinder bore 2 of an internal combustion engine is formed by fitting an aluminum alloy bore ring 15 to the part of the cylinder bore hole 11b of a metallic structural plate 11. The metallic structural plate 11 has a sealing means 13 constituted by a trapezoidal beat or emboss part. The bore ring 15 comprises a thick annular pressure receiving part 15a for enclosing the cylinder bore 2 and a thin flange part 15b, and the circumference of the flange 15b is provided on the metallic gasket 10. The annular pressure receiving part 15a is inscribed to the cylinder bore hole 11b, and the flange part 15b is partially laminated on the metallic structural plate 11 around the bore hole 11b, and the surface pressure of the sealing means 13 is precisely regulated by regulating the thickness of the flange part 15b.
