PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive to calculate an amount of ice in the inside of a layer satisfactorily by supplying chilled water outside the ice storage layer even when water levels in the inside of the layer vary. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a heat exchanger for ice-making on a frame 56, forming an ice-making unit 44. Detecting total weight of the ice-making unit 44 by a load cell built-in a frame-supporting structure 58 allows a controller 38 to calculate an amount of ice on the basis of a detected value and a water level in the inside of an ice storage layer 28 detected by a water level sensor 46.
