PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a D/A converter which does not require a high clock like a PWM for converting multi-valued gradation to one binary signal and does not require high accuracy in a D/A conversion circuit. SOLUTION: Input signals from an input terminal 101 are band limited and over-sampled in a digital filter 102, word length limited in a noise shaper 103 and inputted to a decoder 104. The decoder 104 converts the output of the noise shaper 103 to plural 1-bit data streams provided with relatively less gradations and converts them to analog signals through a 1-bit D/A converter array 105. An adder 106 synthesizes the output and output it from an output terminal 107. By providing the characteristics of the noise shaper in the decoder 104, the effect of removing an error generated in the 1-bit D/A converter array 105 is obtained.
