PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera and an image data recording system by which a template can easily be composed with a photographed image. SOLUTION: This camera having a mode to enter print generating information to generate a print on the basis of image data obtained by a photographing means 2 for picking up an image of an object through photoelectric conversion, is provided with a main microcomputer 20 with an arrangement determining means that can determine which picked-up image of the object is arranged to a template image on which any image can be arranged when the camera is set to this mode.
