PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-developable silver halide photosensitive material having sufficient sensitivity, a high maximum density, good hard contrast, low fog, and good storage stability of raw stock and formed images. SOLUTION: The heat-developable silver halide photosensitive material is provided on a support with a layer containing an organic silver salt and photosensitive silver halide grains and a reducing agent, and the layer containing the photosensitive silver halide grains contains at least one kind of N-containing compound having a pair of halogen atoms represented by the formula.
