PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the access to stored data by aligning film units, detecting a first segment and decoding the segment to acquire a code value and matching the code value with a second segment. SOLUTION: The film unit 10 is aligned and the first segment where the access code is ciphered is detected at the time of access to a look up table 12. The align preferably includes docking of the film unit 10 into an input device 16 and reading of the first segment in order to read out an identifier. The maintained key is then accessed. Next, the first segment is decoded and investigation is made on the relation to the matching with the second segment. If the matching is attained, the access to a logic memory unit 20 for the respective film units 10 is permitted. If the matching is not attained, the access is rejected.
