PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a drum for a music box with which the changing of playing musical pieces is easy and the music box using the same. SOLUTION: The drum for the music box is so constituted as to have a revolving shaft 11, plural outer peripheral plates 13a and 13b enclosing the outer periphery of the revolving shaft, pins 5 disposed on the outside surface of the outer peripheral plate 13a, and retaining members 16 for holding the revolving shaft 11 and the outer peripheral plates 13a and 13b at both ends thereof. As a result, the easy changing of the array of the pins 15 by changing the array of the optical outer peripheral plates 13a and 13b is possible and the drum for the music box and the music box which allow the easy changing of the playing musical pieces may be obtained.
