PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the loss of a light signal relatively small, to freely couple and decouple a trunk fiber and a branch fiber, and to easily obtain the reproducibility of characteristics. SOLUTION: A total reflection block 28 and 1st and 2nd coupling blocks 30 and 32 are freely coupled and decoupled. The total reflection block has a 1st surface 38 that end faces of 1st and 2nd trunk fibers 34 and 36 abut against and 2nd and 3rd surfaces 40 and 42 which slant to the 1st surface. The 1st coupling block has a 4th surface 46 that an end face of the 1st branch fiber 44 abuts against and a 5th surface 48 which slants to the 4th surface. The 2nd coupling block has a 6th surface that an end face of the 2nd branch fiber 50 abuts against and a 7th surface 54 which slants to the 6th surface. While the total reflection block and coupling blocks are coupled, the 2nd and 5th surface, and 3rd and 7th surface abut against each other and the incident light from the 1st trunk fiber is guided to the 1st branch fiber and the incident light from the 2nd branch fiber is guided to the 2nd trunk fiber. While they are separated from each other, the incident light from the 1st trunk fiber is reflected by the 2nd and 3rd surfaces and guided to the 2nd trunk fiber.
