PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for cooling a nut for effectively and efficiently cooling a heat generating part and simultaneously improving lubrication. SOLUTION: When rotating a nut member 1 supported rotatably by a bearing 5 by a drive motor 9 to reciprocate a ball screw 3, by injecting air from an air injection port 27 provided to the bearing 5, the air is blown by a peripheral groove 33 and a rotation seal 45 to a ball 25 and a ball bearing 41 from a plurality of openings 43 via an air supply passage 39 provided to the nut member 1 which is rotating, thereby cooling the nut member 1. By mixing oil mist in the air, the nut member 1 can be cooled and simultaneously the ball 25 and the ball bearing 41 can be lubricated.
