PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal block insert mold synthetic brake shoe capable of omitting a mechanical processing step for exposing the metal block and exhibiting functions of the metal block from an initial stage of using it. SOLUTION: A metal block insertion portion 12A is formed on a brake shoe body 12 made of synthetic resin, fixed to a back plate 11 made of metal and an insert portion 13B of the metal block 13 is penetrated through a through- hole of the back plate 11 and is fixed by weld connection. Thereby, the metal block 13 is assembled to the brake shoe body 12, such that a tip end surface and a side surface of the metal block 13 are exposed at approximately the same plane as a slide surface and a side surface of the brake shoe body 12.
