PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic which has an excellent moisturizing property and an excellent moisture-maintaining property and has an excellent touch such as a non-tacky touch. SOLUTION: This cosmetic comprises hyaluronic acid or its salt, sorbitol and trehalose. The hyaluronic acid or its salt, the sorbitol and the trehalose are desirably contained in amounts of 0.01-3 wt.%, 0.01-20 wt.% and 0.01-20 wt.%, respectively. When water which has a half-value width of its oxygen nuclear electromagnetic resonance (NMR) spectrum peak at a value of <=70 Hz is used, the moisture-retaining property of the cosmetic is further improved.
