PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure high precision in molding and to display excellent electrical characteristics by forming plural projecting parts on the surface of a sheet member, embedding a projecting part forming member in a recessed part on the back side corresponding to the projecting part and forming the projecting part forming member by disposing an expansive graphite material perpendicularly to the sheet member. SOLUTION: This separator 4 for a fuel cell has a sheet member 14 comprising a metal sheet of SUS and the like, and plural projecting parts 16 are preliminarily molded in advance on this sheet member 14. Projecting part forming members 15 are press-fitted in recessed parts 16a corresponding to the projecting parts 16 respectively by applying die molding to each projecting part 16 of the sheet member 14, and plural projecting parts 19 of the separator are formed on its surface. A groove part 11 to serve as a fuel gas passage and an oxidation gas passage is also formed between adjacent projecting parts 19, 19 of the separator. It is preferable to coat an expansive graphite film on both surfaces of the sheet member 14 of the separator 4 to enhance corrosion resistance. |
