PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a resetting operation from being performed by rotatingly driving a disk while changing the revolving speed of the disk to a revolving speed lower than a prescribed revolving speed when the target revolving speed of the disk is larger than a prescribed number and performing a read-out operation of the disk. SOLUTION: A spindle motor 3 is accelerated by changingly setting a revolving speed to a revolving speed lower than a prescribed revolving speed. When the revolving speed of a disk is judged to be a target revolving speed, the accelerating operation of the motor 3 is stopped and the disk is rotatingly driven with this revolving speed. When the disk 1 becomes to be in this state, the player performs the read-out operation of the disk 1. Then, this player outputs the read-out signal to a computer device 9. The computer device 9 can receive desired information data from the disk 1 within a prescribed time. Here, the prescribed revolving speed designates a revolving speed with which a time required after the revolving speed of the disk 1 is increased to its revolving speed till a signal is read out from the disk 1 becomes shorter than a time when a restting operation by the computer device 9 is performed.
