PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and large-capacity hard disk device, that the damaging of a medium surface or a head surface is prevented, and high reliability having no stiction is provided even without carrying out texture machining or using liquid lubricant. SOLUTION: Date recording/reproducing is carried out by a magnetic head slid on a rotary disk medium with a very small gap. This device is provided with a projection portion 5 extended from a movable part composed of a magnetic head, a slider 3 and a head arm 4, and an annular retreating base 6 provided in a part of a rotor composed of a rotary shaft 2 and a medium 1 and forming a gap between the slider 3 and the medium 1 by the riding of the projection portion 5 during the stop of the hard disk device.
