PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain generation of hunting phenomenon so as to accurately detect a control hydraulic pressure value by communicating a hydraulic pressure transmission system transmitting brake hydraulic pressure from a master cylinder with a hydraulic pressure detection chamber via an orifice passage, and placing a hydraulic sensor therein. SOLUTION: A hydraulic pressure sensor unit 19 for detecting brake hydraulic pressure generated at the time of abrupt operation of brake pedal has a main body 20 screwed to an end wall member 27 of a master cylinder 6 by a screw part 26, and in the body 20 a hydraulic pressure detection chamber 21 is formed. A hydraulic pressure sensor 23 is fitted in a recess 22 formed in the chamber 21. As a passage to transmit a pressure to the chamber 21, an orifice passage 29 is formed by utilizing the thickness of the member 27. When fluid passes through a narrow passage of the orifice passage 29, high and low pressure waves are smoothed to eliminate generation of hydraulic hunching phenomenon, and the hydraulic pressure thereafter is detected by a hydraulic sensor 23.
