PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent display quality from deteriorating when a drive mode is switched by stopping a liquid crystal drive circuit until an output voltage of a drive voltage generation circuit is stabilized when a drive voltage is switched. SOLUTION: When the output voltage is changed in the liquid crystal drive voltage generation circuit 103, when output impedance of respective voltages of the voltage generation circuit 103 are high, even when the drive voltage is switched, it isn't followed. Then, after the drive voltage is switched, the drive voltage becomes higher than a prescribed drive voltage, and the display quality is deteriorated. For instance, when 16 pieces selection is switched from a third frame of 100 pieces selection, the voltage isn't followed instantly, and the voltage isn't stabilized for three frames. At this time, for preventing the display quality from deteriorating, a selection electrode and a signal electrode are fixed to Vc (0 V) in the third frame, and the display is stopped so that the change of the drive voltage isn't transmitted to a liquid crystal display panel 101. A liquid crystal is turned OFF by controlling the selection electrode with a scan side drive circuit 105, and the signal electrode with a signal side drive circuit 106.
