PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required for connection in the case of executing dial-up connection through the use of PHS by a terminal (H.323 terminal) conformed to an ITU-T recommendation H.323. SOLUTION: The flow of a processing in the connecting method of a communication terminal is in the following. First, the connecting processing of a PHS line is executed between the terminals (S11). When the opposite terminal is the one capable of understanding the connecting method, information to be required in a succeeding negotiation is previously transmitted by utilizing a call control message by the preceding negotiation (S12 and S14). Then, information acquired in the step S14 is utilized and the succeeding connecting processing is executed (S15). Thus, the succeeding negotiation can be eliminated.
