<p>PURPOSE: To provide scrap transporting system capable of improving the capacity to accept and deliver scrap. CONSTITUTION: Yards 17-1, 17-2 for temporary placement of the scrap are arranged both sides in addition to a hopper 22 for delivery in contiguity to a track carrying-in lane 16. A basket 21 is movable on rails 19 laid between this track carrying-in lane 16 and an electric furnace. The scrap is supplied into this basket 21 from the hopper 22. An automatic overhead crane 24 is arranged movably above a range including the track carrying-in lane 16, the hopper 22 and the scrap yards and has two lifting magnets 26-1, 26-2 capable of independently executing hoisting up and hoisting down. The top ends of the yards for temporary placement of the scrap, the receiving port of the hopper 22 and the platform of a truck 12 on the track carrying-in lane 16 are so set as to exist at approximately the same height.</p> |
