<p>A polymeric coating is produced on an object, particularly an electrode, by ionizing a suitable material, such as styrene, benzene, toluene, ethylene, vinyl chloride, methyl methacrylate, divinyl benzene or mixtures thereof, in a gaseous electric discharge and, by means of an electric field, attracting ions from the material on to the object to produce the coating.</p> |
