The new type of carotene-containing concentrate is characterised in that the taste and smell have specifically pollen-aroma. It could be prepared by extraction of naturally pollen being brought by bees using mixture of ethyl ether and ethanol in volume ratio 95-80: 5-20. When the ethanol volume has been increased there is taken place a fractionation. The liquid fraction of extract has propolis-like taste. The carotene concentrate could be used as naturally pigment yellow colour.
