At least one bone insertion channel extends all the way through the middle section (9) of the implant and exits on the ventral length side (5) of the implant. The implant has top and bottom support surfaces (2, 3) in contact with adjacent vertebrae, a concave-shaped dorsal length side (4), and a ventral length side with rounded contours. At least one passage (12) passes through the implant to extend between the top and bottom support surfaces.
