The battery has pipes (T) arranged in several rows or strands, through which a primary fluid from a reservoir flows and about which a secondary fluid flows. Each row or strand of pipes has an inlet (I) connected to an inlet collector (1) and an outlet (U) connected to an outlet collector (4). The pipe ends are connected to intermediate collectors (2,3). The pipes form a continuous circuit, whereby they communicate via the intermediate collectors.
