A sodium chloride-containing infusion and mouth/tooth care composition, in the form of a tooth care gel, denture care composition, mouthwash, spray or foam, is new. The sodium chloride concentration is at least 1.5 % and the osmotic action of the formulation removes organic fouling, harmful bacteria and previously damaged or separated epithelial cells.
