A process for the production of adhesive layers (I) on surfaces comprises mixing 0.1-1.9 (0.5-1.0) wt.% of an organosilicon compound with a combustible gas, combusting the mixture by means of a flame and depositing an adhesive SiOx layer onto a neighboring substrate.
