A method and apparatus for cleaning the EGR system of a vehicle is disclosed. The apparatus (10) includes an induction device (14) that is removably attachable to the manifold (24) of an engine in the location of the EGR valve. The induction device includes an adapter plate (112) and a nozzle assembly (22). The apparatus further includes a solvent administrator (12) removably attachable to the induction device for providing a quantity of solvent to the EGR system.
