IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO ELECTRICALLY HEATED VESSELS

An electrically heated water boiling vessel (1) has a planar heating element (8) secured therein by virtue of the heating element having attached to the underside thereof an integrated element protector control (for protecting the heating element against overheating) and 360 DEG cordless connector component (14) which in turn is secured to the bottom of the vessel. The heating element with the control/connector attached thereto is introduced into the vessel through the top thereof and is pushed down inside the vessel until the heating element engages abutment ribs provided in the bottom of the vessel. The control/connector is then secured by screw fastenings (17, 18) to the vessel bottom. A sealing ring (11) encircles the periphery of the heating element and provides a liquid-tight seal between the heating element and the vessel interior.
