The bogie of the rail vehicle is mounted on the main axles of two tandem running gears which consist of two wheelsets connected by a rigid frame. Therefore, the bogie becomes a four-axle eight wheel construction. In the event of failure of one of the eight wheels the other wheelset keeps the vehicle on the rails.
