The circuit has electronic modules associated with sensors (5,6,8)/actuators (7,9,10,11) singly or in groups and electronic controllers (3,4) electrically connected to the modules. The controllers act as a transmitter for the actuator commands to be converted by the module and as a receiver for the sensor signal passed on by the modules. Both the actuator commands and the sensor signals are modulated onto a voltage supply signal for the sensors/actuators so that in addition to an earth connection only one wire (1,2) is connected to each sensor/actuator-module combination.
