The invention relates to a novel photovoltaic cell (1), especially a cell having a layer consisting of a colorant or a solar cell, comprising electrically conductive coated support plates (2, 3) made of glass. The edge areas of the cell (1) are provided with a peripheral seal (4). In addition, conducting paths (7, 8) are provided over the electrically conductive layers (5, 6) and, up to the interior of the cell, are protected against corrosion by an insulating protective layer (10). The invention also relates to a method for producing a photovoltaic cell (1) of this type in which the electrical conducting path (7) is applied using a screen printing process. |
