<p>A bone screw is disclosed which has increased pull-out resistance by offering an increased thread depth while optimizing thread pitch. The bone screw has a dual lead thread having a first lead and a second lead each in the form of a helix wherein the second lead starts less than a 180° after the first lead. In one aspect, the bone screw has first and second thread grooves with one of the thread grooves having a greater depth than the other.</p> |
