PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the work of installation of an air conditioner by burying the same into an installation hole, whose size is corresponding to that of appearance of the air conditioner, without receiving any restriction of installation environment by a method wherein the width of rear end of an air conditioner main body is formed so as to be narrower than that of fore end of the same. SOLUTION: Slanted parts 212 are formed on an out panel 210 so that the width of an air conditioner main body 200 becomes narrower as the same is more approached to the rear end of the main body 200. A plurality of venting ports 211 are formed at the intermediate positions of the slanted parts 212 so as to suck outdoor air into the air conditioner main body 200. When the work of installation of the air conditioner main body 200, having such a constitution, is effected by boring an installation hole B, corresponding to the size of appearance of the air conditioner, the plurality of venting ports 211 can be retained at positions remote from the peripheral rim of the installation hole B in accordance with the slanting degree of the slanted parts 212 since the slanted parts 212 are formed on the out panel 210. Accordingly, outdoor air can be sucked without receiving any interference by an installing wall A whereby cooling capacity can be improved. |
