摘要 The invention relates to a method for on-line monitoring and controlling the monomer conversion during emulsion polymerization. According to said method, a balance is continuously made, starting from an initialization point in time, of the heat amount QIN fed to a reaction, the reaction enthalpy QRE added by the supply with monomers and the amount of heat QOUT dissipated from the reactor. A non-dissipated amount of heat QAD is calculated on the basis of these values which in the case of a spontaneous adiabatic reaction would result in an increase in the internal temperature and the internal pressure of the reactor. A check is carried out whether the potential adiabatic temperatures and pressures are always within the predetermined upper limits. If said upper limits are exceeded, the addition of monomers to the reactor i s slowed down or stopped.
