摘要 The expressed juice obtained by the method of the parent Specification is dried by mixing with starch, or substances such as dextrose, flour or sugar, to form a suspension which is immediately applied in a thin layer and without sump formation, e.g. by spraying, to a roller drier; the drying is preferably effected at 100 DEG to 120 DEG C. for about 10 to 15 seconds. In an example, 20 kg. starch were suspended in 80 kg. of blanket-filtered, expressed beetroot juice of about 10 per cent dry substance, obtained by the method of the parent Specification; the suspension was then roller dried at 105-110 DEG C. into a red, non-hydroscopic dry product, suitable for dyeing foodstuffs.ALSO:The expressed juice obtained by the method of the parent Specification is dried by mixing with starch or substances such as dextrose, flour or sugar, to form a suspension which is immediately applied in a thin layer and without sump formation, e.g. by spraying, to a roller drier; the drying is preferably effected at 100 DEG to 120 DEG C. for about 10 to 15 seconds.
