REFLECTION TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A reflection type liquid crystal display device is provided to reduce the amount of light which vanishes on the front polarization plate in order to increase efficiency of light usage. CONSTITUTION: A reflection type liquid crystal display device comprises a high transparency polarization plate(80), and an optical device(90). The high transparency polarization plate(80) is implemented on the surface of an upper substrate(2A). The upper substrate(2A) is arranged parallel to a lower substrate(2B) with a liquid crystal layer between them. The high transparency polarization plate passes a part of the incident light and reflects the rest of the light. The optical device(90) changes the direction of light so as to return the light to the high transparency polarization plate. The light reflected at the high transparency polarization plate is returned to the polarization plate. The optical device distracts the light reflected at the high transparency polarization plate to the outside.
