发明名称 FORMATION AND STRUCTURE OF BLACK MATRIX OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL
摘要 PURPOSE: A forming method and a structure of a black matrix of a plasma display panel are provided to prevent distortion of the black matrix and thereby to improve contrast of the plasma display panel. CONSTITUTION: A first dielectric layer(310) is coated on a substrate(100) having a transparent electrode(200) and a bus electrode(210), and a black matrix(400) is then formed on the first dielectric layer(310) in a predetermined shape. Next, a second dielectric layer(320) is coated and planarized to cover the black matrix(400) and the first dielectric layer(310). Preferably, a chromium layer may be previously formed in the predetermined shape with a thickness of about 1000 angstrom before the black matrix(400) is formed. Since the dielectric layers(310,320) are divided into two layers and the black matrix(400) is interposed therebetween, an undesirable distortion of the black matrix(400) is prevented and a straight characteristic of the black matrix(400) is improved.
