STEREO CAMERA SYSTEM BY PRISM

PURPOSE: A stereo camera system by a prism is provided to obtain stereo image with one frame using the prism and one camera and to measure a distance from the camera to an object. CONSTITUTION: A stereo camera system by the prism includes a CCD(Charge Coupled Device) camera(1), and a prism arranged on a front part of a lens of the CCD camera and converting points on a three-dimensional area into points having the same physical properties and projecting the converted points onto the CCD camera. The prism has a base surface(21), a first inclined surface(22) having a first inclined angle to the base surface and a second inclined surface(23) having a second inclined angle to the base surface. The base surface is arranged toward an object body, and the first and second inclined surfaces are arranged to obliquely direct to the lens of the CCD camera.
